My Current Skincare Routine 2012 スキンケアルーティーン | 資生堂 Shiseido Haul

Hey everyone ☆
I recently ended up breaking my beauty ban with a Shiseido haul. Up until then, my beauty ban was going pretty well but I've decided to stick to skincare that work for me and seeing as I ended up hitting pan for a lot of my Shiseido goods, I thought it was a reasonable splurge.

I've decided to show you my current skincare routine and the products that I use on a daily basis. I had been experimenting with a whole selection of lotions, creams and samples but after witnessing my skin breakout, stressed and upset, I realised it wasn't worth it and have then decided to go back to my trusty brand/products.
FYI my skin type is: Oily with a dry surface.
Skin concerns are: Pimples, blackheads, enlarged pores, fine lines, pigmentation and sun damage.

The current skincare brands I use are: SHISEIDO, SHU UEMURA and BIODERMA. Mainly Shiseido as you can see hehe. Long time readers probably know that I used to work for Shiseido, you can read about that here. I have loved their skincare and have used it since 2008. :)

STEP 1: Cleanse
I know that I've got a lot of products for my Step 1 but basically, I alternate with cleansing waters - my very very first step is to wipe away surface makeup.
After I use up the Bioderma Sebium H2O, I will go back to using the Bioderma Crealine H2O or Shiseido Pureness Refreshing Cleansing Water to wipe my entire face. Once the makeup on the surface of my skin has been removed, I then go on to using the Shu Uemura White Recovery EX Cleansing Oil to break down and remove stubborn makeup such as mascara.
By now, my face looks makeup free but I do finish off with the Shiseido Future Solution LX Extra Rich Cleansing Foam to deep cleanse and make sure there is no make trapped between the pores. I occasionally use the Clarisonic with my foam for when I feel that I need an extra deep clean.
The above is my night time routine, in the morning my cleansing step only consists of using the foam to remove oil, dust/dirt whist sleeping and excess skin.

STEP 2: Soften
That's right, soften! Not tone :) I prefer not to use toners as it tightens the skin/pores and it can strip away natural moisture. If you have really oily skin and you feel the need to tone, why not pat on the toner after the moisturiser on selected areas?

Why I choose softeners - it wets the first layer of your skin, allowing the moisturiser to penetrate deeper and it also has natural ingredients to help the skin turnover. A super gentle option for exfoliating. Moisture is the key to anti-aging, I love how step 2 enables the skin to receive more moisture. I currently use the Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Balancing Softener Enriched. I have my LE Eudermine ready for when that runs out as well. I have also used and will go back to using the Future Solution LX Concentrated Balancing Softener once I use all of these up:) I apply these softeners with cotton pads day and night straight after I finish cleansing.

STEP 3: Moisturise & Protect
Moisturising is the key to anti-aging! It is so important to moisturise the skin, especially at night time. At night, your skin repairs itself and it is essential to have that extra moisture. I have the Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Protective Emulsion for day and the Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Moisturizing Emulsion for the night time. My day emulsion has a lighter texture and also SPF15 but I still finish off my skin care with the Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion for Face & Body for the harsh sun here in Australia. My eye cream is the anti-aging Future Solution Eye & Lip Contour Regenerating Cream. The Future Solution range isn't just for mature skin, I love the range. I wish they would bring out emulsion textured moisturisers instead of just the cream option.

Treatment
Above are some of the products I use between the basic 1, 2, 3 steps. I use the White Lucent Intensive Spot Targeting Serum every day and night between my softener and moisturiser. It is for any dark spots and pigmentation. The light weight serum is so ideal for me, I just love it! I have gone through many bottles and I will probably use it forever. I've only recently started testing out the Bio-Performance Super Corrective Serum and so far so good. My skin feels more firm and less dull. I don't often use the rest featured above but I have it for when I stop being lazy~

And now, my haul~♪♪
It's pretty much the same as what was shown in the above hehe, just making use of the sales and value packs to stock up! The only item I picked up that I didn't reeaalllyy need was the Shiseido Lacquer Rouge in RS404 Disco! The shade and texture is just beautiful!!
Here are the swatches, with flash and without :)
Hope you enjoyed my skincare routine post, I'm sorry for blabbering on and not going in to too much detail about each product but my lower back is giving me grief. Must get up and move around!

If you have any questions, comments or feedback, leave me a comment down below :) Thanks so much for reading! x

  5. I've recently seen the Shiseido Eudermine Essence at Nordstrom's and was mesmerized by its pretty design, it looks so medieval for some reason and luxurious. In fact you use some pretty awesome products, a lot of which I've personally have made experiences with, too. I'll forever repurchase Shu Uemura's cleansing oil. I've never tried out cleansing oil until I won two giant bottles of the brand's sakura edition and I could never imagine getting my make-uü off with anything else again. But you have fabulous skin and these products up there are the reason why!

  17. glad that shiseido works for you :) It didnt work on me.
I just bought a bottle of that cleansing water by bioderma but being a die-hard fan of cleansing oils, i couldn't bring myself to like the water - i prefer using oils first then to use the bioderma to remove other traces :( oh well I shouldnt have bought it!

  18. Wow thank you so much! I am so glad that you like it. The Lacquer Rouge is just stunning! Like a lipstick in a gloss version <3

  19. Aw i'm the opposite. I really like using the cleansing water first to remove the surface makeup and then the oil to really get rid of the foundation etc in the pores and the hard to get off mascara and eyeliner! Really hope you can use it again and hopefully like it xx

  20. Wow, great products for your skincare routine! Thanks for sharing the first step - I've been hearing a lot of things about the Bioderma for removing makeup so I've been eyeing it for so long but since i have a Clarisonic that i use everyday for makeup removal, I couldn't justify it! So reading about how you use Bioderma and your Clarisonic gives me some insight on how I should use both of them if I should decide to get Bioderma sometime in the future!

  21. Hi Jenny, thank you for your comment!
I'm so glad this post was somewhat useful~ As mentioned, I don't always use my clarisonic but I use one the cleansing waters all the time. I hope you get to try it out and see that it works for your skin too! xx
