Hi everyone, I'm finally updating with my new hair colour! Just a heads up first because I know the two after shades look drastically different. Don't want to confuse you all~ My new colour was originally meant to be 'Light Ash Brown' but it appears to be really hard to get that perfect colour that I've been after for a while now. Apparently this is the lightest I can go without bleach, for now anyway. In an indoor lighting + flash it looks like a chestnut brown but in natural lighting you can see more of the Ash tones.
In the below images, the colours look completely different and I definitely prefer the 2nd colour, I may need to revist later on to get it more Ash toned! Without any light shining on the hair, it looks quite dark and hard to see a difference. Nonetheless, I am so glad I took Val's reccommendation to see Sally at SUI Hair Salon! She is really experienced and definitely knows what she's doing. Although I did want lighter, I felt like leaving it up to her hehe. Can't wait to go back and start experimenting with different colour & styles!! You can see my previous hair colouring attempt in this post.
I will post more on the look in the first after picture. I attended a friend's wedding last night and there's a few more photos of the makeup and circle lens to come! Stay tuned <3

ReplyDeleteHAHA *Bow to the all mighty Sally* Thanks so much Val <3

ReplyDeleteThanks so much Mishi:) I do want more of an ash colour! x
ReplyDeleteYou definitely should~ it's so pretty inside like you said. I got a cut and colour for $160. She also styled it in the end but don't think that was charged :) x
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, so lovely to hear you like it :) x
ReplyDeleteHehe it's quite dark without the light shining on it though :(! Still, I am happy hehe will try something lighter next time! x
ReplyDeleteHehe I was thanks bb! I did want it slightly more ash and lighter but i guess no bleach=not happening haha
ReplyDeleteHehe thanks hun! Ohh now I will have that kinda problem from now on too.. I want to go even lighter so we will see how that goes hehe! x
ReplyDeleteVery pretty shade Shiz :) It looks good on you!
ReplyDeleteWoot! I'm loving the ashen tone colour on the right a lot!!! I'm contemplating dyeing my hair to ash tone but i heard the ash would only appear in bleached hair, otherwise it would turn orangey copper. Orange freak me out a lot coz I really hate my hair to be orange. I really like how your hair colour looks under natural light.
ReplyDeleteShiz <3 Its so pretty! I wanna see a clearer shot! Hahaha I'll see you in april anyway eh~
ReplyDeleteIm thinking of going back to brown hair... >< What shade should I get baby? x
Anyways, how do you usually lighten your brows babe? My brows are really dark and I usually bleach them a bit!!
Aww thank you so much Amy! Still want to try lighter hehe! x
ReplyDeleteI reallllllly wish I got more of an ash tone too. I find it's a little reddy but I guess it can't be helped as it's asian hair but my hair definitely can't take bleach. It's already naturally so dry and dead haha.. I don't want to go bald! Orange does sound a little freaky haha!! Good luck! I hope we are both satisfied with our hair soon :) x
ReplyDeleteHaha maybe by april I will have lighter hair!! Who knows :D I really liked your brown hair actually! Go light with me babe!~~ Omg we should do it when you're here~ That would be so fun fun fun! I just trim my eyebrows and draw haha so there's not much hair left or else it'll be black too! Or you can use eyebrow mascara!! Heaps in asian makeup stores :)!!
