2011 Bits & Pieces

2011 has almost come to an end and yet I've still got many photos saved in my "To Blog" album.
I want to start my 2012 with fresh content! My new year's resolution for my blog is to run a healthy posting routine. I am sick of procrastinating and being behind in blogging. With that being said, I've decided to cram what's left of my scheduled posts into one and clear my backlogged 2011 posts.

Before I begin flooding you with the overdue photos, here's one of the more recent ones :)

I'm 23 now woooo. It was a relatively quiet birthday this year. I had an intimate dinner with close friends and watched the new Mission Impossible movie. It was a peaceful night out with no clubbing and crazy consumption of alcohol. ♡

A friends farewell party had the theme of Rubik's Cube - come in 6 pieces all in the colours of the Rubik's Cube. It was a tough one! I decided to make my outfit :) Orange boys top thrifted for $4 then cut it up, green skirt was my brother's t-shirt, which I made into a skirt and socks are sleeves of another top. The white long vest was a long sleeved shirt which I also cut up!

As I mentioned earlier in this post, my new year's resoultion for the blog is to BLOG MORE. More consistently that is :) Another goal is to hopefully learn how to work iMovie so that I can have some videos up! (That might take some time)

Oo also, I hear GFC - Google Friend Connect - is disappearing some time? Can someone let me know what's going on, I am so confused. Are they just updating it or totally removing it? That means lots of bloggers will lose their followers, so unfortunate but I guess there's always Bloglovin and other subcription sites out there. :(

Outfit Collage | Now And Then

I've recently been very lazy with my - What I Wore Today - posts. I thought I'd create a mini collage instead of individual posts. Unless I find a personal photographer for these outfit photos, I'm going to have to stick to mirror shots or cropping a lot~ It's really really hard to take good shots!

If you happen to be a long time reader, you'd know I had a crazy obsession with the colour black. I wasn't gothic, emo or punk. I just felt comfortable in black I guess? Anyway I was and still am on a mission to keep my wardrobe happy and colourful. Check out my improvements!! (I may or may not have selected the colourful outfits only  (◔ε ◔)*innocent whistle*)

The First Ever Glossybox In Australia

Hello again~ Here is another delayed post that was meant to be up earlier. Maybe I should consider purchasing an iPad to make blogging on-the-go easier!
I present to you, the first ever Glossybox in Australia! I was sent the box for review purposes.

It's so true that first impressions count. From the moment I saw the box, it was a positive experience. Gorgeous box, sufficient information and packed with care. What stood out to me the most however, was not only the pretty packaging, but the partner brands of Glossybox. I can say I know more than 90% of the brands and that somewhat makes my interest for this box a lot more higher than being sent a box full of samples of brands I've never heard of. I know in a previous review, I mentioned it's great to be able to try new brands to experiment but I can't help but be excited when I see some of my favourite brands such as Shiseido, Shu Uemura, YSL, Illamasqua, Jurlique etc.

So here's a picture of what was inside the November Glossybox.

There is a very handy card that explains what products you've received, how much it can be purchased for and some information on each item. Apart from the 5 products, included in this box was a 15% off Jurlique products storewide card! Woo now I can go and buy my HG Rose Silk Powder! Oh and pink jellybeans!! I demolished them as soon as I opened them. Lollies = win.

I've become a little more familiar with the Bio-Oil and Mirenesse products, thanks to ABBW. I've started using the oil and so far so good so to have a back up is perfect! Which girl can have too many lip glosses? The Mirenesse lipgloss is a red colour called 'Geisha'. A great pair with the Essie nail polish.
One more thing - I love that I can reuse the Glossybox for storage!

Clinique Beauty Bloggers Event 2011

Hi everyone! Sorry for the lack of updates (>д<')
I can't believe it's already the 16th of December! Only 9 more days till Christmas, 12 more days till I turn 23 and 15 days till the end of 2011. Crazy, but before talking about the end of December, just wanted to share how I spent my final day of November. I spent it in a beautiful venue - the Onyx room at Comme. It was the Clinique Beauty Bloggers Event and it was a perfect way to put an end to the month.

I unfortunately forgot to bring along my camera, so there isn't many photos from the night. I did however manage to take a couple with my trusty iPhone 4S.

As always with the MBBE ladies, the night was filled with excitement and laughter. We had Alexis and Miranda share the story of Clinique and we also got to hear some new products waiting to launch! There was also a makeup demonstration by Courtney on gorgeous 2011 IT girl, Melanie. Each blogger also had the chance to have their skin analyized by a Clinique consultant. Here is a list of recommendations the consultant wrote down for me. Iphone to the rescue! Couldn't remember all of it so I took a photo of it :)

I have so many 'main' skin concerns hehe. Apart from Oilyness in T and dehydration, I'm getting a little crazy about sun damage prevention. When I drive, I wear this glove thing to protect the skin. Going a little over broad right? I hear an amazing product that can help with this is launching next year, I can't wait to know more about it!

I love the booklet we got to take home, it was a great way for me to get to know more about Clinique. I snapped the goodies with each page so you can see what they are :)

I trialled the number one selling High Impact Mascara! Do I love it? Well, yes! Look how different it looks with and without~ I shall try the Chubby Stick and Black Honey soon.

• Trialling different braid techniques to keep my fringe out of the way while I try and grow it out. If anyone knows the name of this braid please enlighten me! 
• My first brush cleanser from Artiste Manicare. Works great but the smell is overwhelming and I feel I should wash my brushes to get the smell away - defeats the purpose.
• Snapped a cute pic of the fattie yawning. I took it with the front cam of my new iPhone 4s!
• After some badminton, we had some fish & chips at Edithvale Beach. Such a beautiful way to end the day.

• My gorgeous new iPhone 4s in white. Simply the best phone!
• The cutie after a big yawn hehe. Aww tired face :)
• Succumbed into purchasing the HK lip balm! 
• I got my passport photos retaken after 5 years. Just a bit of doodling on them.

• This was the white dress I originally wanted to purchase and wear to MBBE2011, but decided to go with something I already owned. It was about $150 so I'm patting myself on the back now.
• Snapped a pic infront of pink toilets. Very random, I know.
• Gorgeous, delicious looking fruits at the Oscar Oscar Salon morning event from this post~
• Rio, my friend's pet budgie. It's always been scared of me but that night, he decided to sit on my shoulder, what a cutie!

• Instant Win from Maccas! Yay I get free fries! (I drafted this post and now that win has expired, I totally forgot to redeem it..)
• This was from the Gradient Lips post I did. I hardly wear my hair like that, I should experiment more.
• I was reminiscing on the days that I enjoyed in Japan. Had some delicious crepes from the shop behind me in Osaka. Due to the earthquake, my trip to Tokyo was cancelled. I need to go back asap! Miss the food, shopping and family <3
• The last pic was taken afte MBBE, my eyelash started to fall off but when I tugged at it lightly, it wouldn't come off, so I just let it hang for a little.

I do love playing with instagram and all the photo apps on my iPhone. I got into the app 'Pick' for some time, however, I think keeping one account is easier and def choose instagram over the rest of the photo apps :)

I'm so behind in blogging, I have many posts that I still need to write up so stay tuned!
