Outfit Collage | Now And Then

I've recently been very lazy with my - What I Wore Today - posts. I thought I'd create a mini collage instead of individual posts. Unless I find a personal photographer for these outfit photos, I'm going to have to stick to mirror shots or cropping a lot~ It's really really hard to take good shots!
久しぶりの和服です!自分で写真撮るのって凄く難しいです(-_-)
If you happen to be a long time reader, you'd know I had a crazy obsession with the colour black. I wasn't gothic, emo or punk. I just felt comfortable in black I guess? Anyway I was and still am on a mission to keep my wardrobe happy and colourful. Check out my improvements!! (I may or may not have selected the colourful outfits only  (◔ε ◔)*innocent whistle*)
***NOW***
The below collage is from this post way back in 2008 and the second is from this post in 2009. Yes, I even titled the post I Love Black. *A tiny bit embarassed* (The one with the red and over the knee stockings was from a dress up - not my usual outfit.)
暗すぎってよく言われてました!どう見てもそう思われますよね。はい、納得。
**☞*THEN***

Black black black! 黒, 黒, 黒!

So that's it for today, hope you enjoyed my before and after colour comparison:) I still love black and wear it a lot, I just showed some of my more colourful outfits hehe.

Thanks for reading!

  3. I also love black. Its so easy to wear. I remember when I was in Japan and the father in law took me shopping to buy some non black outfits....it didnt go down very well.

  4. Lool~ thank u <3
Growing up, I had a lot of friends who loved pink and I thought that was normal so I was the weird one hah~ But it was nice, when we went shopping, we can have matching or pair things with me always getting the black and they get the colourful ones lol :D ahh i still love black too ^^

  5. Hehe so true! Just layering black on black is pure awesomeness. I love the darker look though. I am once again getting obsessed with the pairing of one colour x gold hardware! x

  6. Hehe I can imagine. When I shop I only pick at the black things and then decide. I never attempt to pick out a coloured item!

  7. hahaha I know how you feel.. I'm still trying to make sure my future purchases are a bit more colourful. I can't help it.. I get drawn to blacks and other monochromatic shades D:

  8. Totally with you on that one. Without knowing I go straight to the monotone racks or pieces. Then I think oh wait, I'm meant to pick coloured things only! But love my grey, white, black too much!!

  9. I wear a lot of colour in hot climates (Oman, Hawaii) but I am addicted to black living in London! Must have something to do with the light...

  10. Oh wow! you're wardrobe is definitely more colourful now which is what I try to do as well because I use to always wear grey! D: I know, such a dull colour. However I still think nothing beats a full sexy black outfit once in awhile. Personally for me I don't think I can pull off black but these two bloggers (http://www.monoxious.com/) omgosh majority of their outfits are monochromatic and they pull it off so well! So edgy and sexy haha.

  11. Black is a classic color that can work in every outfit! It's also fun to add spots of color here and there. I tend to wear a lot of neutrals so...I'm also in the process of incorporating more color! XD

  12. Omg how lucky are you to be in Hawaii :D Would love to live there one day, or visit for that matter hehe. I think the mood in London and Melbourne are quite similar, I've never been but that's the feeling I get and apparently Melbournians wear a lot of black so I totally understand where you're coming from!

  13. I love grey though haha! True, full black is just love. But I guess I do it too often, so no more for now :) And wow those ladies do know how to style an awesome black ensemble! Love it thanks for the link x

  15. I love all your outfits (black & colored)! I'm the same way. I have a lot of taupe/nude/ivory tones in my closet. I always reach for those colors when I go shopping. Black definitely will not go out of style. It screams classic :)

  16. Thanks so much Luci <3 Hehe nude, taupe and ivory colours are just as great :D

  17. You look beautiful with colour! And you have the perfect body shape ahh so jelly > <

  18. yay for more colors! I have been doing the same... from monotone to at least force myself to wear 2 colors. It isn't easy haha. You're adorable!

  19. Thank you Nat! Ahh no need to be jelly, perfect shape is far from what I am!

  20. Me too! I actually think a lot of people have the same love for greys, whites and blacks. They just look really good. Well, I bought some super bright buttery orange/yellow shorts the other day. They look grand against my grey/black tanks HAHA

  21. Yay~ hehe I am enjoying more colours recently but still have a habit of picking up the monos~

  22. Ohh amazing!! Please do an outfit post~ I wana c :)

  23. Haha Yup I will for sure :) Just gotta find the time to doll-up and take photos :P

  24. Hehe I will await patiently. It seems you are working a fair bit!

  25. Yeah I am ! There's been days that I've actually been working Cotton On earlier in the day and then have to head on over to Chaddy for Telstra. Tiring, but I'm so hungry for work and money haha Being unemployed after having a job for 2 years does this to me :P Plus, if I don't work, I'm at home or out wanting to spend my money. No good! Must nottt!!! *reaches for debit card* Btw, how's your job hunting going?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Aww wow you are so good! At least you know it will all be worth it!! Hope you shop up a storm in Korea! Job hunting for me has been rather slow, I started to apply and then kinda stopped. Still lacking direction and motivation :( We will see..

    ReplyDelete
  27. Haha you know what the worst thing is though? With all this money being made, I'm becoming a little more careless with my saving. I see something online or in a store and I think.. "Oh yeah.. it's okay.. just $40 won't hurt.." and then it builds up and builds up and I've already spent a few hundred >.< not to mention having to pay bills too. Totally sucking my savings! So I think I need to stop now and be super strict -_- No boxing ay sales for me :(

Which area of work are you interested in? Maybe if I see any openings or know anyone, I can give you the heads up :)

    ReplyDelete
  28. Aww I used to be like that too! That was why I had to make a po box to hide all the parcels from my mum haha. Good luck tho, you can do it!! :)

Hmm I'm really not sure still, i haven't even decided that bit, so i'm stuck :( but thank you! x

  29. Hahah sneaky sneaky :P Good luck to you with the job hunting! Honestly, I just wanted a retail job when I was looking. Seemed to make the most sense to me since I'm still studying. Are you going to be looking for P/T or F/T?

    ReplyDelete
  30. After working in retail I kinda want office jobs but have no exp :'( so hard anyway im after FT!

  31. It's always tough when you don't have experience. You can always start out at a lower status role and work your way up.. that way you have the admin / organisational skills/exp to show for it on your CV. Don't just look on Seek. Sometimes just think of companies and go to their website. I wanna get into HR after I graduate! But I haven't done any business studies :( Only psychology..

  32. I like how you compiled outfits from a few years ago until now. I've always liked seeing how people change in their style from year to year. I'm glad to see you're incorporating more color into your outfits though - you look so pretty with brighter colors! ^^

    ReplyDelete
  33. Aw thank you Rinny! Glad you enjoyed it hehe I was so dark before, I think I still am slightly but def brighter:) x
