My Mini Pink Haul | Hello Kitty, MAC, Daiso

I've given myself a beauty ban - I cannot purchase any beauty product untill I have either finished the entire product or have nothing alike. For example I repurchase certain skincare when it runs out as there is no replacement but things like lippies, I have many similar shades so untill I use them up, I can't allow myself to buy anything.

Everything was going so well until I succumbed into buying the limited edition Priceline X Hello Kitty lip balms. I picked these up at the Doncaster Westfield Priceline.
A while ago, I stupidly lost my new MAC tinted lip conditioner in Petting Pink. I didn't even get to swatch this new baby, all I managed to do was take pictures. I bought this for $28 and so the Hello Kitty balm was a bargain at $9.95 and cute too.

I also walked into Daiso to find myself walking out with a new $2.80 lippie. Since I broke my ban, I thought why not. It's a terrible way of thinking but I think I've been good over the past few months.
Here's what they look like on my lips.
Hello Kitty lip balm on the left and Daiso lipstick on the right.
I LOVE the lip balm. It's helped me get over the fact that I lost my MAC balm. The Daiso on the other hand, tends to highlight my dry lips and it isn't a shade I love unfortunately. I don't really like the metallic pink shade it gives off and it looks different to what the picture suggested. I'm not too fussed as it's from Daiso and I didn't expect much. Still wearable:)
The Hello Kitty balm is great but I find that it doesn't last long and the product will be used up very fast! The Daiso lippie has a very soft texture, I'm afraid on a hot day, it'll melt or even break.
Since this is a mini pink haul, I'll include this as well. It's another item I picked up from Daiso - a very pretty boddy srub towel :)
And so that's my mini pink haul! Hope you enjoyed it ~
Let me know if anyone else has given themselves a beauty ban! I'd love to hear your stories on how you did or didn't achieve your goals :)

  1. haha awww, the lips colours look really nice! especially the hello kitty tint one, i'm not very fond of shimmery lip colours either but it's not exactly a loss since it was under $3 :)

  3. Oh gosh, pink pink pink <3 total love hahah
You make me want to go back to Daiso. I haven't been since July/August and I know they've had new stock coming in which I haven't been able to check out. So many things you can get for a bargain. I couldn't stop staring at the cute bowls and mugs haha. I hope one day they're open a huge megatore like Don Quijote here.. I haven't been to that store before but it was highlighted in an episode of Kawaii.i and now I wanna go there so bad hahah

  11. The Hello kItty balm is gorgeous!! And the Daiso lipstick looks pretty and more expensive than $2.80! Although it is a shame it accentuates any dryness :(

I was gifted a pink Daio blush, and it is very pretty actually! Its finely milled and quite pigmented too! :D I am impressed with it!

I haven't had any buying bans as such, but I've been watching my spending because I have spent quite a bit on other people lately as xmas gifts! I'm afraid everyone I haven't bought for yet might end up with gifts like home baked cookies and DIY things! XD

  13. Lovely pink haul! so cute and girly and.. super super pretty! hehe. I also tell myself to "finish" a product before purchasing another, but honestly, that rule never works in the makeup world. All the glittery beautiful colors always make me bend my rules! hehe. The Hello Kitty lip balm is so nice, it seems really nourishing with nice colors to it too.

  15. I hope they still had it when you went! Did you manage to pick one up? x

  16. Definitely looks more expensive than $2.80, even with a lower quality and super light packaging, it still seems like it's worth more than $2.80.

I've been looking for a cream blush from Daiso, I wonder if they only come in powder haha, great to hear you're impressed with it!! Hehe bans don't work but watching what you spend on sure does :D

  18. Thank you Mishi, true true. It never works hahah guess I'll just have to watch what I spend on or else the more I say 'ban' the more I want to buy!

  26. What a cute post!! Ooh...if I saw that Hello Kitty balm, I probably would have done the same. I tried saying that I wouldn't buy anything for myself until next year...BUT I HAVE FAILED. So many sales at the end of the year (after Thanksgiving)...I really couldn't resist no matter how hard I tried. I guess I could've tried harder, but I didn't lol. But since it's almost Christmas, I'm going to give it a go again~ ganbatte!
